Fun Things for Teens to Do
Rent a karaoke machine to put on a karaoke competition. Establish the judging criteria and prizes for competitions in multiple music categories, such as current pop and rap songs or oldies from the 80’s.
Hold a movie night with a dress up theme. Teens can dress up as characters in the movies that will be shown. Some popular movie genres are horror, comedy, action, teen romance, and science fiction.
Host a board game and/or video game party. You can rent game consoles or teens can bring their own consoles or devices to play group games like Mine craft or their favorite Wii games. Some fun board games for teens include: Twister, Monopoly, Scrabble, Reverse Charades, and iMAgiNiff.

Card games are always a hit with teens. Set up tables for friendly games of Poker, Spades, Hearts, and Uno. Some common poker games are Texas Hold ‘Em, 7-Card Stud, and High/Low Chicago.

Cook-off challenges will get the competitive juices flowing and the stomachs growling. Take it to the kitchen as teens try to recreate their favorite dishes and desserts for bragging rights. Paintball games are safe and fun for this age group. If a paintball field is not nearby, teens can safely play in the backyard or a local park.
Ultimate Frisbee is another teen activity. This can be played in the backyard or a nearby park or open field.
Miniature golf is always fun. Teens can set up an obstacle course in the backyard and use plastic golf sets sold at local Dollar stores.
Indoor ice-skating. This is always a fun winter and summer activity.
Host a pool party barbecue with cool water games. Some game suggestions are Beach Ball Relay, Marco Polo, and Water Basketball.
Let your teens put on a wacky talent show. Host this in the backyard take pictures, videotape it, and upload them to YouTube, FaceBook or Instagram.
Set up a net. You can host volleyball and badminton competitions with your friends and family.
Create a backyard bowling alley. You can also transport your teens to a local bowling alley, if you prefer.
Flag football. This is really enjoyable for teen guys and girls with or without athletic ability.
Go roller-skating. Around the neighborhood or at a local roller skating rink, either way is fun.
